Future Technology (:

1. What kind of technology is being discussed?

Bio technology is being discussed.

2. What are the benefits of this technology? Who would benefit?

It helps disabled people and people that were born without the use of their hand. Disabled people when using this technology would help them to do a lot of things that they never got to do before. For examples: picking up drinks, pens, etc.

3. Are there any ethical problems with this technology?

It is absolutely right for disabled people to use this technology when they need an artificial arm. Still, there are some people with normal arms but want them to be stronger and better, therefore, they are willing to cut off their regular arms to own the use of prosthetic limbs. I think they can have what they want but it would cost them a lot of money. No technology is perfect and what if your normal arms can do things that prosthetic limbs cannot? That is just messing with the nature.

Our Future Is...

Futuristic Technology

Sooner or later, there will be a huge amount of futuristic technologies. For example, flying cars, superbikes, intelligent toilets, smart wallets, etc. Sure these things will be very useful and they help people do less jobs, but it remains a lot of laziness on them. Even though all these smart, futuristic technologies are cool to have, but they are extremely expensive. Only rich people or celebrities can afford them. Which means people have to work harder than the level they are already on, and costs people more energy. These technologies will leave a huge impact on every single person.

Meanwhile, on the other side, there will be products of apple, like, iPhone 5, iPad 3, the newest version of iTouch, Macbook super-air, Macbook super-pro. These technologies don't really affect people much. They are surely expensive but they are not that hard to afford. Also, there will be cool applications on these iphones that will give us more daily news, sources of information, and more knowledge about the world. I mean these things are great! They are affordable and very cool to be involved with. These things are already there, they will come to us, sooner or later.

My Favorite Memories from Cat Tien (:

Cat Tien was an incredibly great place to visit, to learn, to spend time at and to experience many different things. In just four short days, I have had a few unforgettable memories.

My first superb memory is when AIS students and teachers played a new kind of volleyball at Cat Tien. It was introduced by Mr. Tim and we students had never participated in this game before. At first, we struggled a bit because we were new to the rules. As time went by, all of us played like professional athletes. It was dreadfully enjoyable to experience an exciting sport and I hoped we could play this new type of volleyball everyday at school. Mr. Tim just simply made me fall in love with this sport.

Now my second memory will be spilled. It was the time we got to go to the Crocodile Lake and spent one and a half hour to arrive there. It was awfully tiring because it was an exact ten-kilometer hike. But when we needed to go back to our hotel, it only took forty-six minutes for me and five of my friends to make an achievement. We walked, sighed, jumped and jogged. It felt like we had been in the dark for a whole week and finally got to see the daylight. It was extremely exciting for us when we saw the road that would lead us to our hotel. We screamed so hard that it almost took our breath away. We also got some photos taken and those photos are to be kept as a great memory.

Last but not least, the most remarkable memory that I would never ever forget. I could still feel the warmth from the fire, the marvelous smell from roasted marshmallows, and the noise of girls playing jump rope. Those nights around the campfire, AIS students, teachers, guards, staffs gathered around like the coolest extended family anybody had ever seen. We chilled, we gossiped, we played sports, we took tons and tons of photos, we roasted marshmallows, we danced, we sang, we did all kind of joyful things like there was no tomorrow. It was the greatest of the greatest trip anyone could go to.

When the trip ended and everybody got home, they instantly missed Cat Tien so much that they had to update their statuses each five minutes. After visiting Cat Tien, I had learned a lot about the animals, the environment, huge trees, and had also experienced a new sport. It would be great if each person had a chance to visit Cat Tien once in their life because they would just experience many different things like I had. Also, I would want to pinky promise that I would cherish all the moments I had with AIS at Cat Tien for eternity.

Evaluation

Explain how you used the principles of design in your digital poster. Use specific "descriptive" words in your explanation.

White Space: My poster has some white spaces that are focused mostly in the center. Some are around the logo. I wanted to make my poster look equal and match with the center in which I chose pictures with a few white spots in it.

Focal Point: The word "Vanilla Hills" and its logo are my focal points. They are large enough to be catchy and easy to grab people's attention really fast.

Fantastic Fonts: I chose "VNI-Matisse" as a font for "Vanilla Hills" because somehow it matches with the words and also the readers' imagination of the park as well. For most of the text, I used "Rockwell" because it looks formal but simple. I also used a few different fonts for other text, too.

Display Balance: I put details, pictures in the middle, then more pictures and information on both sides. I also tried to "cut" my poster in half and it is totally balance.

Simple is nice: I put a fair amount of text in which it provides clear information. I did not choose beautiful or colorful pictures which would mess up my poster and/or make it look less professional.

Color Correctly: I only used green and gray for the name of the park which is Vanilla Hills. Orange and red are the main colors I used for details and discounted information. They can remind people of Christmas because this poster is partly for special occasions. Blue remains as a small part of the pictures. I tried not to use as many colors because it would look really confusing, I think I did a pretty good job on this.

My Holiday (:

This break seemed pretty fun although I didn't get to travel to other countries. I had to stay home all break long because my parents were both busy with their works and all. At first I was sad to hear we wouldn't go anywhere but then I overcame the problem by going to my cousins' house and hanging with them. Also, I had a sleepover with my friend and we had fun. The most interesting thing to me is I celebrated Christmas Eve on Facebook. I went to most of my close friends' walls and left them a post with wishes. I was very thankful for doing that! It was great and I got cracked up all the time by one of my close friends. On New Year's Eve, I chatted with an old guy friend of mine in America and we talked about things that had been going on. I was looking forward to a happy new year and by celebrating it, I counted down with my friend on the phone. I also came to my parents after that and gave them a big hug. Afterall, my holiday was amazingly great! (:
